How to read this

Oregon water exceptions in the 2026 booklet

Each zone table sets the usual rule; the Exceptions pages then list waters and reaches where something differs: a season, a bag, bait or barbless rules, catch-and-release or a closure. This page prints every exception row as written, with the printed booklet page, and links the water when this site has a page for it.

Water exceptions as printed in the 2026 Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations (ODFW, eRegulations edition) (booklet PDF; printed page shown), read November 2, 2026. In-season changes from ODFW override them.

Water exceptions: what Oregon readers ask

How many water exceptions does Oregon print?

1,315 rows in the 2026 booklet, across 8 zones.

Which zone has the most exceptions?

Willamette, with 353.

Why is a water printed without a link?

Its page has not been released yet, or the exception names a creek or reach too small for a page.

Does an exception replace the zone row?

Only for what it names; anything it does not mention follows the zone table.

What does the page number refer to?

The printed page of the 2026 Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations booklet.

Do these exceptions change in season?

They can; ODFW posts temporary rules on MyODFW and they override the printed rows.

Are Marine Zone exceptions included?

Yes, where the booklet lists them, under the Marine Zone heading.

How many rows link to a lake or river page here?

816 of them.
