The program

How LDWF Get Out & Fish! community ponds work

Get Out & Fish! puts hatchery fish in city and parish park ponds so families can fish close to home. In January 2026 LDWF stocked adult-size rainbow trout at 15 sites, and it prints a fall channel catfish date for 15 sites; numbers are not published. The rainbow trout row in the pamphlet applies only to these ponds.
