Lake Ray Hubbard is a 21,671 acre reservoir, 40 feet deep at the dam, first filled in 1968. In Collin, Dallas, Rockwall and Kaufman counties, one mile west of Rockwall on the East Fork of the Trinity River.

TPWD biologists rate catfish and hybrid striped bass as excellent here; largemouth bass, crappie and white bass rate good.

The lake record largemouth weighed 14.1 pounds and was caught in 2002.

Water clarity is usually stained; you will see there are stands of emergent vegetation in shallow flats and several areas of the lake have been infested with hydrilla along the banks and flats; levels swing 1-3 feet.
