The Delta
Fishing the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta
The Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta spreads across Sacramento County and 5 counties more, where the two rivers meet before draining west through Suisun Bay. DBW lists 65 public launches on its rivers and sloughs, more than any single lake in the state.
CDFW treats the Delta as inland water east of the west Carquinez Bridge, so freshwater rules apply: black bass 5 a day with 12 in minimum, striped bass 2 a day with 18 in minimum, and white sturgeon catch and release with a report card.
